I have been working on and off at THE BBC in London for nearly 30 years now and I still get a thrill when I look up and the see the building. The BBC made the first official broadcast in 1932. My old friend and colleague Peter Donaldson from BBC R4 always referred to it as the ‘battle ship’ as the old BH looks a bit like one! I actually love the Art Deco Style of this Grade 11* listed building and think the design of the new East Wing Extension or new BH as we call it, fits in really well. Here it is in all it’s glory with a bit of my own artistic flair thrown in.
